Hello Mary. I just listened to all your installments on Book Bits. They speak to me! I have yet to start my first book, but I wanted to introduce myself. You and I were neighbors in the ‘60s in NYC. Your Papa had an apartment on East 83rd street…next door to my parents. Yet we may never have met, especially if you were at boarding school. My mother was an actress and singer whose stage name was Suzie Baker. Her married name was Doris Baker McKeever. Her husband was a successful Princeton grad on Wall Street. My mother called me Bobby back then. I was born in 1958. I am now 64, happily married in New Hampshire, hoping to begin a “retirement career” recording children’s audiobooks. A favorite pastime of mine was reading aloud the same childhood books my mother had read to me back in Apt 2G at 170 East 83rd Street, when I was in grade school at PS6, near the MMA! Fear not, I am no stalker. In fact I discovered you after googling Sidney Sheldon on seeing his name in the credits watching an old episode of I Dream of Jeannie…to see if he was, in fact, the next-door neighbor from my childhood. So, I hope you are in good health, and that you read this “comment” soon(2-24-2023)!
Best wishes!
