Mr. Johnson’s discussion about Soft/Hard American and Obama’s Giult notion of America and Trump’s anti-status Quo…are all partially true and partially an uneducated opinion. America is not perfect and I am sure all political parties would agree. Democrats were racist against the black communities in the 70’s while the Republicans suppressed black voters in the last election. Your discussion seems coming out from one perspective that Trump gave a “fresh” impact on the American politics. That is a good shake up of the stagnant Capital Hill. But Trump has tarnished the Presidency in his tenure showing even worst than a guilty feeling but to compromise with the world’s notorious dictators (North Korea, Russia, Saudi etc). As a voter, I need to distinguish how my vote can really make America better rather than greater. Based on Trump’s presentation. of himself, his loyalty over the country, saying things without being responsible for the consequence. Yes, he is not perfect like everyone else. But he is the president of the US, he has to learn to be as perfect as possible: his speech, his deeds and his intention. Most of us saw more his iniquities than his accomplishment, that is not fair to trump, but he showed this ugly side all the time being juvenile rather than a matured leader. I hope Mr. Johnson, you would investigate another perspective, look through some other lenses to try to balance out what the truth is about Trump. The indictment against him right now may drive his possibility of being re-elected and yet, is this good for the country? I am an advocate for Voter Education. We need to be properly informed where we are Soft or Hard Americans. Being ignorant and vote blindly is not true democratic.
