Excellent! Rational! Reasoned. The only thing you left out was our CIA sponsored assassination of their elected PM, Mosaddegh in 1953. His “crime” was attempting to audit the books of the British oil company (now BP) and when they refused, he threatened to nationalize the company. The CIA admitted to sponsoring the coup in 2013 saying it was done “as an act of U.S. foreign policy.”
